What type of article should I use?
Any article dealing with the current events locally, in the state, nation or in the world. It must come from a current newspaper or internet site (nothing more than a week old). Your may cut the article from a newspaper or print article from the internet. No violent articles!
How long should it be?
Your article must be at least 1 paragraph long (5 sentences). The last sentence of your paragraph should be a personal statement about the article.
What should be in the left side page paragraph?
The paragraph should have a summary of the article (who, what, where, when, etc.). I should be able to read your paragraph and know exactly what the article is about. Give your honest opinion about the event that occurred in the article, including your thoughts of what happened and possible consequences that could happen to the people involved. Remember to write the summary in your own words. Do not just copy sentences.
How will it be graded?
Your current event is worth 20 points. You will receive 10 points for the article and 10 points for the paragraph.
